CHARGER TIMES

Charging time depends on the type of charger you’re using.

Level 3: DC Fast Charging

Under ideal conditions, you can charge from Low Battery Light to 80% in as quickly as ~30 minutes (FWD) or ~60 minutes (AWD).

Currently only available at public charging stations.

Disclosures

DC charging times are estimated based on ideal charging conditions. As temperatures decrease below 50 degrees Fahrenheit, charging time will increase significantly. For the bZ4X AWD model, charging may slow down more than other models in weather conditions below 32 degrees Fahrenheit and may not be possible when the temperature drops to around -4 degrees Fahrenheit and below. Drive battery level and condition, charger specifications and DC charging more than twice per day also can negatively affect charging time.

Actual range attainable per minute/hour of charging will vary significantly depending on speed, outside temperature, accessory use, how/where you drive, battery condition and other factors.

Public charging experience will vary based on charger type (Level 2 or DC Fast Charger) and other factors including vehicle and environmental conditions. See toyota.com/electrified/charging for more information.

AT-HOME CHARGING

Set up your at-home charging station.

Your bZ4X comes with a Level 1 charger. Adding a Level 2 charger at home provides you a quicker charge that’s just as simple. You just need a licensed electrician to install it.

Clean Assist allows eligible All-Electric Vehicle owners nationwide and Plug-In Hybrid Vehicle owners in California to offset their vehicle charging with 100% renewable energy—no matter where the vehicles are plugged in. And there's no cost to participate in the program.

How Clean Assist Works:

Owners of eligible vehicles can opt into the Toyota Clean Assist program through the Toyota App.

The Toyota App then tracks the amount of the electricity used during charging and calculates the net emissions produced by charging.

Toyota then generates, or buys, an equivalent amount of Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs), ensuring that all charging activity is matched with zero-carbon electricity.
